In Mediterranean culture, Zait is more than a word. It’s a beginning. This name – reminiscent of the Arabic “Az Zait,” which gave rise to the Portuguese word for olive oil – honours a shared ancestry. It celebrates the symbol of the olive tree and the values of peace, prosperity, and authenticity that are so deeply woven into the Portuguese spirit.
Zait was born on the slopes of Ferreira do Zêzere, a land of olive oil and olive trees. A hospitality brand deeply rooted in Portuguese and Mediterranean heritage, inspired by the rich culture that has flourished here since ancient times.
